What are the MAZDA Maintenance Schedules?
Regular maintenance is necessary to keep your new Mazda vehicles running smoothly on the streets of Bronx longer. Luckily the experts at Mazda of New Rochelle can help! The best place to ask for help is at your local Mazda Service Center or via the owner’s manual to make sure your vehicle is getting the care it needs. Let’s take a look at the maintenance schedules of the Mazda3, the Mazda6, and the Mazda CX-5:
MAZDA3 Maintenance Schedule
The Mazda maintenance schedule depends on whether you set the “Oil Change” maintenance monitor to “Flexible” or “Fixed”, whereas most Mazda vehicles are pre-set with the “Flexible” oil change monitor system. The monitor indicates the frequency at which you should check certain elements of your vehicle. Here is the Mazda 3 maintenance schedule:
- On a “Flexible” Oil Change Monitor Setting: replace oil when the wrench indicator is ON. Max interval is 12 months / 10,000 miles. At this time, you should also replace the air filter and cabin air filter.
- On a “Fixed” oil change monitor setting: replace the oil every 6 months, and replace the air filter at 30 months and the cabin air filter every two years.
- Every Year: Check the disc brakes
- Every Two Years: Check the brake lines, fuel lines, hoses, fuel hoses, front and rear suspension, steering operation, driveshaft dust boost, and connections. In addition, tighten bolts, nuts, chassis, and the body.
- Every Three Years: Check the drive belts.
- Every Four Years: Check the hoses and tubes for emission, exhaust system, and heat shields.
- Replace engine coolant at 120,000 miles / 10 years or 60,000 miles / 4 years depending on coolant type. After first replacement, change at 60,000 miles / 5 years and 60,000 miles / 4 years, respectively.
- Replace spark plugs at 75,000 miles
- Rotate tires at 5,000 miles
